With risks like overheating, thermal runaway conditions, hot-gas venting and fire inherent in the battery systems industry, safety regulations are a top priority. IQ Laboratories (IQL) engineers and PhDs leverage a 35-year history of testing and certifying battery systems— including lithium-ion technology—without a single safety issue in more than 400 million batteries. IQL is a state-of-the art, UL 1642, UL 2054 accredited and CTIA authorized battery systems testing facility. We have full capability to perform tests based on IEEE 1725, IEEE 1625, UN38.3[DOT], Telcordia and other country/ industry based standards such as Japan PSE, IEC 61960, IEC 62133, etc. In addition to regulatory approvals, IQL assists battery design and battery qualifications based on customer’s specification.
